Description

Jambalaya originated in the Caribbean islands and is a mix of Spanish and native cultures before making its way to Louisiana. Jambalaya is typically boiled in a pan. This version of Jambalaya is grilled in foil packets resulting in a tender, juicy stew of shrimp, sausage, vegetables and rice. This dish is made to not be spicy in order to suit both adults and children.

Ingredients:
Shrimp, Andouille sausage, onions, bell peppers, celery, tomatoes, okra, parsley, scallions, lemon juice, olive oil and spices
Cooking Instructions:
1. Preheat the grill 2. Grill packets for 8 to 10 minutes until puffed. 3. Remove and let rest for 2 minutes 4. Microwave rice for 2 to 3 minutes until warm. 5. Carefully cut packets as they will be hot and full of steam and serve over rice.
